Volunteer Opportunities

Day Center Companion

Assist in the HV Pace Day Center (2940 Ellsworth Rd, Ypsilanti, MI 48197) Monday through Friday for 1-4 hours between 9am and 3pm. Talk with our participants one on one, do puzzles or play games with them.

Day Center Group Activities

Assist during group craft time. Teach a hobby. Play a musical instrument.

Virtual visits

Phone or use Microsoft Teams to have a weekly virtual visit with one of our participants.

Wellness visits

After additional training, visit the participants weekly in their homes to chat and see how they are doing.

After submitting your application, eligible volunteers will:

Conduct a phone interview.
Tour of the building.
Onboarding: sign papers including liability waiver and background check permission. If available, bring proof of a recent TB test and Flu vaccination. Bring your Covid vaccination card.
